A pragmatic, self-motivated, team player with an excellent work-ethic, I enjoy challenging tasks that require me to utilise my patience and problem-solving skills. I am a React Developer with experience working with: HTML, CSS, JavaScript (inc. jQuery & React), TailwindCSS, Bootstrap and Git. I have experience handling material knowledge and performing time sensitive website updates for some of the largest companies in the world and am well-regarded for my strong attention to detail. I am confident fetching data from an API, managing state within React and I even know how to centre a div. Valuing excellent UX, my projects utilise semantic HTML, and are responsive and accessible. I have an extensive background in customer service and use a high level of interpersonal skills to understand the needs of internal and external stakeholders.

Support Analyst
My role at Q4 is primarily focused around delivering time-sensitive content updates for clients’ investor facing websites. These updates can range from adding events via Q4’s purpose-built CMS, modifying existing widgets built with jQuery, or adjusting the styling of navigation elements using HTML & CSS. Whilst technical skills are of the upmost importance, it is also imperative that I maintain a clear, concise, and professional tone during all email & telephone correspondence; also ensuring that I breakdown any technical issues in an easily digestible way for people of varying technical capabilities. Not only this, but I was also awarded the “Euro Hero” award, a peer voted award based upon work ethic, teamwork and a certain “je ne sais quoi”. The “Euro Hero” award, alongside my extensive customer service background, demonstrate a high level of interpersonal skills to match my technical knowledge.
Customer Advisor
Working at EE has been a great fit for me, with years of customer facing roles and a natural desire to learn about upcoming technologies and products, this has translated into me easily being able to build rapport with my customers and make them feel comfortable. Using the people skills I have developed I quickly establish what a customer wants/needs and use my ever growing product knowledge to find them a suitable solution. In turn, I have consistently achieved 100% feedback from our NPS system for my customer service. This is down to my ability to understand my customers desired outcome and demonstrating the features of their new device that will bring them the most value within an appropriate and meaningful experience, whilst also taking the time to listen and empathise with them. However, challenging at times due to everyone ‘needing’ a mobile phone, but not necessarily being tech-savvy, it’s not unusual to have to spend some extra time with a customer to help get them feeling comfortable with their new phone. This is where my enthusiasm for technology and helping others come together, and in an engaging way can really help build my customers confidence using their phone in a way that they couldn’t before. Also with EE not attempting to compete on price, it’s also important to prevent customer churn, I achieve this by demonstrating the value of the network and services we provide to our customers. I achieve this with live network speed tests with my personal phone, showing the customers the ease and simplicity of swapping their “swappable benefits” with the My EE app, the ability to share data with other users on their account and also the potential discounts for additional products.
Warehouse Assistant
General duties included accurate and rapid picking of customer orders, packing and preparing either for checking, collection or urgent courier. Using company software to keep track of stock items and locations. Maintaining a clean and safe work environment and constantly learning about new/changing products.
Bartender
An extremely busy and fast-paced environment with a very high turnover of tables/customers, that went from being a family restaurant in the mornings and afternoons, to busy bar in the evenings. Andy's required a very high level of adaptability and focus to ensure a smooth running of the bar and an enjoyable venue for customers. Duties primarily consisted of serving drinks, including house cocktails and barista coffee, taking/processing customer payments/orders, accepting deliveries and general cleaning duties.
Sales Assistant
Carphone Warehouse is an assisted sales environment, with my primary duty being to provide customers with an efficient and informative level of service whilst following company guidelines and specifications, leading to the end result of a customer obtaining a new phone contract or handset. Alongside this I was also tasked with selling additional services to my customers, such as broadband, insurance and accessories. Due to the fast moving technology industry it was also important for me to keep up to date on all new available products and services. I was responsible for meeting and greeting customers, providing information at a level suitable for the individual consumer, offering advice and guidance on products, use of a company specific IT system, maintaining a clean and well presented shop floor, cash handling and cashing up at the end of a shift.
Assistant Manager
Initially employed as a Supervisor at Three Wise Monkeys, I was promoted to Assistant Manager within 6 months of being with the company. I put this down to my strong work ethic, experience and willingness to take on new responsibilities. My duties included, but were not limited to: managing a team of 25+ staff, all tasks related to the control of stock and cash, security and safety of the venue, staff and customers, liaising with kitchen team to ensure smooth running of service and the training of new staff. TWM has a capacity of 500 people, 3 bars, a private function/live music room and a kitchen serving fresh food; so I feel that my time here as a member of the management team has strongly developed all of my communication and organisational skills, alongside being able to help and encourage both customers and staff members.
Bartender
Duties included table service, serving behind the bar making a wide range of cocktails and standard cleaning duties. I was also responsible for the cleaning of the beer lines, teaching “Cocktail Masterclasses” and when required taking deliveries. Also as one of the more senior members of staff I was often left to train new members of staff and co-ordinate the closing of the bar.
