Opened 11 regional field offices for direct voter contact programs resulting in 1,362,281 phone attempts and 387,052 canvassing door attempts from March 1st – November 1st, with volunteers completing over 10,800 shifts. During GOTV from November 2nd – November 6th the NDCC completed an additional 286,981 phone attempts and 149,216 canvassing door attempts from a total of 16 remote staging locations. Extensively deployed digital organizing tools to increase the overall base of volunteers in state, and to capitalize on activist interest to spread the volunteer pool beyond the borders of North Dakota. Structured and managed outreach programs to specific constituency groups including nine college campuses, naturalized citizens voting for the first time, and the Native American’s living in the state’s four major reservations. Partnered with tribal government leaders to resolve voter ID issues from an appeals court ruling 48 days before Election Day that effectively disenfranchised over 10,000 Native Americans of voting age, ultimately resulting in record turnout from the Native American community and an increase in DPI in those regions. Spoke with the media on background to explain outreach strategy and help frame polling information in the best possible light for the campaign. Acted as spokesperson at campaign rally’s, and in TV and radio interviews including a nationally televised segment with Fox News.
