I would make and receive telephone calls, to and from clients and relatives of our clients to explain about a sight test that has been carried out, dealing carefully with sensitive and confidential information. I would explain our optometrists’ advice and any recommendations that they have. I use the full Microsoft package in my job to sure maximum efficiency and have also helped to implement a new software program into our branch. I work as part of a small team to help many people to see better every month

I worked as part of team on the road helping to deliver eyecare to vulnerable members of society. I would drive a company car to and from venues and assist the optometrist in setting up the equipment. I would help with the sight test as required and then help to arrange eyewear if needed and help to fill in all paperwork accurately. I used equipment to repair and adjust spectacles as well as fitting.

I would enter patient’s sensitive information onto the system, including but not limited to the patient’s optical prescription. I would scan glasses onto the system and case them up ready for delivery by another member of the team. I would also schedule bookings to be made to our venues and make the appropriate 72-hour checks before our team visit to ensure an exceptionally smooth, professional service, notifying the NHS of any changes to comply with regulations.
