In my youth, I investigated several top cites and decided that I found Hampton Roads to be a beautiful mixture of the northern and southern climates surrounded by the ocean, bay and wetlands saturated with unbelievable history and a community that was friendly and almost recession proof due to our prominent military and government support presence. I found my new home. I met a few young men in the car business and discovered that that the top salesman was rewarded with a brand new car and insurance which I couldn’t pass up at the time. That was in 1976. Then, I joined RK and was promoted through the ranks and finally earned an opportunity to buy into the RK automotive family. I was encouraged by Richard and Bob Kline to get to know the community and share in its growth. I met my wife in Virginia Beach and we got married and raised a beautiful family blessed with my son Skylar and daughter Logan. I am now a grandfather twice over, with one “in the oven.” I am proud RK has been the #1 leader in Virginia in Chevrolet sales for 25 years straight. As I embraced the community, over the years, I have been a sponsor and/or organizer for about 250 charitable events. From the military with over 100 events, municipal, state, local grammar, middle and high schools events, Boys Club, Big Brother and Sister events, Church and youth rally events, coached youth [soccer, basketball, football, volleyball and baseball] events, along with a multitude of scholarships, transportation donations community rehabilitation projects and some historical and artistic supporting charities and events. Most importantly, I am loved and respected by my family and have made great lifelong friends.
