Consensus-building while providing input on generator position on issues while at the same time maintaining the reliability of the grid. Member of RFC Board of Directors. Member of the RFC and NERC Standards Committee. Developed programs to educate plant management of standard requirements. Director East Real Time Desk:Responsible for the relocation of the dispatch operation from Johnstown to Houston. This included staffing, coordination of communication requirements and installation of a new Ranger EMS system. Responsible for the dispatch operation of 1050 MW’s of owned assets and 1050 MW’s of assets owned by others in Florida. This includes managing the schedules and interfacing with counter party dispatch centers. Successfully integrated the plants (5300 MW’s) purchased from ORION into our dispatch operation. This required setting up and staffing another dispatch desk. These assets were located in NYISO and ECAR and required developing an understanding of rules in these markets. Also included in this acquisition was the requirement to cover Duquesne Light’s POLR load. Currently Reliant’s representative on the PJM SOS and OC. Responsible for the day-to-day dispatch operation of a portfolio of over 11,400 MW’s of generating capacity.Specialties: Broad experience in reliability standard development and enforcement, dispatch management, project management, engineering management and R&D management. Traded capacity in the bilateral, broker and e-capacity markets.
