Early in my career with the Los Angeles County Marshal I held positions of bailiff in a courtroom, custody officer and as a civil process server.In August of 1980, I was transferred to the Planning, Research and Development section of the Marshal's Administrative Bureau. My duties in the section involved

During my eight years enlistment in the Air Force, my duty assignment was in the Air Police/Security Police field. Duties included routine policing of base facilities to security of nuclear storage areas. During my last three years, I was assigned to the Security Police Academy at Lackland Air Force Base as an instructor. In December of 1968, I was selected to attend the Academic Instructor Course at Maxwell AFB. The training was an intensive academic instructor course taught by officers from the Air University and professors from the University of Alabama. The training incorporated teaching theory and hands-on instruction, utilizing numerous teach methods.In April of 1969, I was awarded a Master Instructor rating for technical training excellenceAs a summer collateral assignment, I was co-chairman of the base aquatic programs. In this capacity I shared the responsibility for the management of 18 swimming pools and provided for the training and staffing of all facilities. Show less
