Southwest Bank has merged into Simmons Bank, expanding our presence into Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Tennessee, and Texas. Same great customer service – just more opportunities for our customers! My primary scope of responsibility with Simmons Bank is to manage the retail lending division. The retail division handles consumer loans, real estate secured loans and small commercial loans. This includes originations and servicing of interim construction, home equity, home improvement, home equity lines of credit, working capital lines as well as other small business loans.

Currently manage a centralized multi-functional lending operation with the primary focus on consumer, consumer real estate, and small business loans as well as consumer/business credit cards. The Credit Center services nearly an 800 loan $120,000,000 portfolio with a staff of two full time and two part time employees. The Credit Center provides support to all commercial lenders and facilitates origination as well as servicing for consumer loans, interim construction loans, bank portfolio mortgage loans, home improvement loans, home equity loans and home equity lines of credit. All community lending programs and community economic development programs in LMI communities are handled through the Credit Center. The Credit Center audits all consumer and mortgage loans for fair lending compliance throughout a 16 banking center network. Additional responsibilities include second loan review of all loan denials and performing the ability to repay (ATR) function for all 1-4 family secured loan originations and renewals.

Credit Center Administrator: managed the centralized credit center for a 27 branch network overseeing the consumer, real estate and small business lending functions of the bank. In addition, I managed both the Credit Card Department and Student Loan Department within the bank. I held this position until the 2006 acquisition by Compass Bank.

While employed as a full time banker, I was also an instructor for AIB teaching numerous banking courses to banking and financial professionals. In addition to classroom instruction for Commercial Lending, Consumer Lending and Real Estate Lending, I also taught several correspondence courses.

Credit Center Administrator; managed the centralized lending function for consumer, real estate and small business loans for a multi-branch network.

Initially managed the Loan Department for locally owned Tarrant Savings Association. When Tarrant Savings was acquired by Empire of America in Buffalo, New York, I formed the centralized lending department for consumer and small business loans for the Southern Region with emphasis on indirect lending. I was managed the lending operation for a 63 banking center network in Texas, Florida, California and Long Island, New York.
