Contract role that was originally envisioned to assist in identifying and reconciling data integrity issues post-ERP conversion, transitioned to back-up and develop new processes for Staff Accountant role, and playing major role in improving month-end processes across several roles

• Assists in monthly financial reviews and assists Controller and Accounting Manager with the preparation and presentation of these reports.• Prepares month end reconciliations as requested by the Controller. • Updates, communicates on, and improves the Company’s cash flow forecast and weekly reporting to management.• Responsible for reconciliation of main cash account. • Responsible for AR specialist, to ensure the accuracy and productivity of day-to-day activities of customer credit extension and collections. Responsible and monitors the AR aging. Reports potential sales opportunities (in regards to credit extension and credit obstacles) to upper management, sales leads, and customer service, in order to facilitate order approval and potential revenue.• Oversees the management and compliance of the Company’s credit insurance.• Accounting liaison between International customers, International collections agent, and International VAT and accounting firm to ensure proper reporting to International authorities.• Analyzes and communicates key metrics of the company’s performance (against history, budget, forecast, and strategic plan) for decision making, plan reviews, and operational support.• Primary point of contact for internal and external customers with credit, billing, and operational issues.• Accounting representative for new ERP launch, training, and implementation.• Responsible for reviewing and reconciling Alternative retail store P&Ls, including store cash reconciliations and reviewing inventory transfers. • Works directly with Controller on improving company financial systems, including fraud detection, internal controls, improving order flow, consolidating accounting duties, and ensuring responsible division of labor.
