Was highly involved with this new company start up which consisted of about 12 team members from the Kaneka Facility listed below. I was responsible for the designed and development of a new product line of EPP returnable packaging. I also designed and developed a cost effective tooling concept for steam chest molding, and developed and worked with a number of tooling sources and suppliers for quick turnaround, short lead times. Maverick Industries was sold to JSP International in August of 2011.

Galesburg, Mi

Designed and developed commercial seating for OTR tractors, such as Freightliner, Peterbilt, and Volvo. Designed and developed a Mine Blast Attenuation seat to be used in the military on the new JLTV, (HUMVEE) replacement. Designed and developed the new Case New Holland Boomer seat as a retro of the old Ford 8N seat but with better comfort.

Jackson, Michigan Area

Designed and procured tooling for this automotive supplier of EPP Energy Absorbing bumpers. This tooling consisted of gages and steam chest molds primarly made from castings. The last design that I did here was a Rear EA for the 2010 Ford Taurus.This facility closed in late 2008.

Designed and Developed the Center Console Fold Down Armrest for the GMT900 (Full Size GM Pick ups). Worked on the design of Chrysler Visors and Overhead Consoles also.

I designed, and programmed the tool paths for, plastic injection molds via Unigraphics and Cimatron CAD/CAM software.These molds were primarily production molds used in the automotive industry. I also set up and managed our small workstation network. Also did some consumer product design.
