Growing up with Asperger's Syndrome, I sometimes struggled with school work, but I was always good with computers which gave me a focus; this interest has stayed with me. I have been involved in scouts since I was six years old and throughout my time I earned several awards including 3 Chief Scout ones (Bronze, Silver and Gold). I currently volunteer as an occasional helper at my local group in Burscough.Using skills from college and university, I am currently designing and building a website for my group to showcase us and what we do.During the summer of 2018 I volunteered as part of the infrastructure team on Red Rose, which is an international scout and guide run every 4 years. I was part of the networking team and it was my job to setup and manage a WiFi network for 2-3000 scouts and guides from all over the world. I also assisted in the deployment of a VOIP phone system as well as two way radios around the site.
