Strategically lead and direct all aspects of the operations area (Construction / Customer Care / Purchasing /Operations support) to ensure attainment of established business plan results for the Company.Oversee and provide Guidance to the Director of Construction, Area Construction Managers, Customer Care Managers, and various operations support staff within the Company to ensure achievement of established business targets; ensure talent level of all groups is consistently high with capable bench throughout.Prepare/review budgets for all operations departments; monitor construction costs and adjust construction activity as needed to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.Oversee the training and development of all operations staff; ensure staff are well-rounded and implementing best practices in the field.Quality Assurance; ensure adherence and compliance with established policies and procedures (and achievement of acceptable internal audit review scores). Ensure all internal and externally mandated requirements related to purchasing standards, building codes, specifications and production quality are met.Walk and inspect at least twenty five (25%) percent of all monthly closings to ensure adherence to internal quality standards; routinely inspect construction sites for quality.Monitor market for competitive information and product innovation opportunities.Provide performance feedback as needed; ensure performance related issues in the operations are addressed quickly and reach resolution; evaluate performance objectively with a results oriented focus.
