Tom Cornille is a Senior Industrial Designer at Thetford Europe. Colleagues describe him as "I Have had the pleasure of working with Tom on a number of projects over the last few years while working at Thetford ltd. Although Tom worked at another site in another country it was always easy to gravitate towards him for support from direction of projects, a little strategy and market awareness. But it was his Industrial design and sheer creativity that set him ahead. His ability to generate ideas from little information or guidance and somehow manage to achieve something that was both the right level of conceptual and challenging but also within the realms of possibility (manufacturing and meeting requirements). He always gave ideas and a range from the conservative to the slightly more risque but always hitting the right notes. It was always Tom as my first port of call when a next project arose or had something i wanted to try or get feedback on. Tom can listen so well but also read between the lines and this is what i thought was exceptional that he had that ability to understand not just what was being asked but what was being asked or what was superfluous as not to get stuck with feature creep. Not only this he could ask the right question at the right time which is very difficult and skill to have not only because it shows he understood but he was there on the journey with you and pushing and challenging in the right way rather than preconceived ideas and forcing them on others. He was also a guiding reference for some of the younger members of the team and had a calming influence on them when they wanted to run off in other directions, i think it was just his nature to be there for others and support when needed. Not only this his ability to see the entirety of the project and understand all the different facets that make up the project (engineering, manufacture, compliance, user requirements/market needs, commerciality) which meant he could apply all this for a solution that was well rounded from the first concept but also to challenge those younger members to think of those aspects and then teach them what is required to help guide there thought process too. Although I went into the management side it was definitely Tom who reignited my passion for the visual and imagery of a product and talking about concepts and design history and influential figures was amazing to draw on. More than all this Tom is such a nice and calming person to have on the team and it was always a pleasure speaking to him and working alongside him for the last few years. Its a shame he is on the market and will be a tremendous contribution to anyone that sees and utilizes his full abilities and potential." and "Tom was one of my favorite co-workers while a Sr. Product Manager at Thetford.
