Communicate and coordinate teaching objectives, curriculum, and resources across the department. Lead team of English and history teachers in setting and achieving departmental goals. Observe and mentor individual teachers as they hone their practice. Work with parents, faculty, and division heads when academic concerns arise for specific students.

Coordinate advisory programming, activities, resources, objectives, assessments, and policies according to the specific needs of the grade. Collaborate with the advisory team to secure a developmentally appropriate and responsive program. Work with students, families, and faculty to respond to emergent issues, both behavioral and academic.

Develop and execute curriculum according to departmental standards. Differentiate instruction and assessment. Complete prose and checklist reports. Hold conferences with students to provide targeted support. Additional teaching experience in French (’18-’20) and History (’18-’21).

Support a cohort of middle school students in their academic and social-emotional growth. Develop individualized resources and strategies for fostering organizational and executive functioning skills. Help students reflect on specific strengths and growth areas, then set concrete, measurable goals. Serve as liaison between parents and school.

Live with and offer support to undergraduates studying abroad in Auvillar, France. Hold weekly office hours. Read and give written feedback on student writing (creative nonfiction). Develop and run Writing Partner program. Assist course instructor with administrative tasks, including classroom and residence set-up. Help coordinate and attend weekend trips. Facilitate communication between students and the local French-speaking population.

Conduct one-on-one conferences on a walk-in basis, seeing several students each week. Read and discuss undergraduate writing assignments in any discipline. Help students implement immediate revision strategies and develop long-term writing skills. Nominated by faculty recommendation.
