Hello! Thomas here, Partner Engineer at Red River.Partner Engineering is rather unique to Red River. We have a few Partner Engineers, each with a diverse skillset, assigned to Dell, Riverbed, Splunk, and NetApp/Cisco (that's me!)This has been an amazing position for a Data Center generalist such as myself. I cover all matters of Cisco and NetApp at Red River... this includes everything from configurations, to architecture recommendations, recommendations to sales/sales support, whipping up marketing materials, and even just being a brand evangelist for these two companies--it's not hard when we all go way, way back and each is a leader in their space!I'm a product person so my knowledge of these companies' hardware portfolios is excellent... please let me know if I can point you in the right direction for your needs. I've also become a Cisco IoT enthusiast as of recently, so I'm always excited to gab about that.

Service Operations Engineers are tasked with writing Statements of Work as well as Levels of Effort for Professional Services Delivery. After having learned about the products, the "SOE" role was a great way to learn about their implementation. Since Red River takes the burden of SOW writing off of the Sales Engineers, our team researched best practice implementation steps. We standardized many of these SOWs for future use.I spent a lot of this time continuing my last role in advising sales and engineering in Cisco and Dell hardware.

In this role I configured builds-of-material of all matters. I covered Cisco, Dell, HP, NetApp, and more! Configuration Engineering was a great way to learn the product lines and technologies of these OEMs. I was eventually able to start helping sales and engineering teams find the right products for their customers, often recommending cheaper alternatives within the same product line. This made me quite popular!In this role, as well as my Service Operations Engineering role, I also spent a lot of time helping sales with general IT questions.

Over 1 billion emails sent with industry-leading engagement rates.• Target users and analyze performance using data on demographics like income, location, age, and more. • Analyze mainstream spam filter behavior (Gmail, Microsoft, Yahoo!) to ensure email sends get delivered. • De facto sysadmin, responsible for configuring, delivering and supporting PCs for the 40 employees. Administer Microsoft accounts. Recover data from damaged PCs. Perform repairs and upgrades. Installed and configured a Ubiquiti wireless system in the building.• Build custom, targeted email campaigns working with clients like Uber, Edward Jones, Prudential Insurance, Amazon, and more.
