N9 for Experimentation

I work with the Fleet to identify mission and system requirements for Mine Warfare (MIW), coordinating with resource sponsors and acquisition program offices to improve in-service MIW systems or develop and field new capabilities.

Naval Flight Officer (NFO) in the S-3B Viking- an Aircraft Carrier-Based patrol and surveillance jet aircraft.

• Responsible for managing a 15 person watch team for the overall defensive capability of the aircraft carrier using all sensors and weapon systems to include- ACDS, Surface and Air Search Radars, TAS Fire Control Radar, Auto-ID, SLQ-32, CIWS, RIM-7 Sparrow, GCCS-M, Link 11 and 16. Participated in the first combat operations into Afghanistan after 9-11. • As TAO was responsible for Joint Interface Control and management of Strike Force input to the Common Operational Picture (COP) through Link 11, 16 and GCCS-M.

• Develop and direct long-term strategic plans for four Tactical Air Control Squadrons and one Aviation Staff. • Key figure in establishing the Fleet Introduction Team for medium-sized Unmanned Aerial Systems deploying from Naval Destroyers and Amphibious ships. Position focused on training development and support requirements for future UAS squadrons.• Training Program Lead. Position involves developing a full-scope and comprehensive training program for Tactical Air Support Squadrons. Experience in curriculum development, determining training objectives, testing materials, publications, and modeling and simulation scenario development.

Responsible for standardization of Squadron Detachments, operating procedures, and development of tactical initiatives. Additional duties involve building and sustaining momentum on Unmanned Aerial System initiatives within the Expeditionary Strike Group.

 Planned and executed Joint and Combined military exercises. Responsible for coordinating across entire J-Code staff organization and foreign military staffs for Battlestaff-level exercises to include scenario development, exercise budgeting and staff training.  Coordinated the Joint Quarterly Readiness Review, a Combatant Command (4-Star)-level-approved report discussing readiness levels, strategic readiness shortfalls and both urgent-need and long term requirements. Oversaw implementation of the Defense Readiness Reporting System (DRRS) at CENTCOM.
