I am responsible for the design, installs and support for the infrastructure of our launch vehicles and spacecraft, buildings, sites which includes the layer 1 fiber and copper data network cabling infrastructure, operational voice (wired and wireless), mission video, ground-side vehicle and payload interface RF systems, ground stations, telemetry and optical tracking systems, marine communications, readiness testing, and other systems involved in real-time communications and operations for Falcon, Dragon, and future starship! • I have developed conceptual designs and specifications based on SpaceX corporate and mission requirements preparing detailed design drawing and documents for all Launch Communications Projects.• Work with team leadership to prioritize and schedule work and tech teams to meet required timelines.• For each project and sustainment work I coordinate with other contractors and project teams as needed to ensure successfulness of the project/mission.• Interface with external vendors (private and government) to define interfaces at cross-connect facilities, and transition points across and between all our assets.• Go out in field and provide QA and auditing before and after infrastructure cabling plant work, ensuring the best result is provided.• Created metrics and procedure documents for leadership.• Managed the integrity of the documentation of all installations including assets, locations, connectivity, and maintenance of the patch record databases .• Created the installation standards and conducts on the job training sessions as needed.• Assisted when short staffed in the development of cable installation, termination, and testing best practices across SpaceX as well as quality assurance inspection criteria.• Informed and kept all personnel up to date on industry standards and new products.• Provided purchase order creation and financial controls for infrastructure related activities ensuring adherence to budget and timelines.

As the Senior SpaceX technician, I worked in a complex environment supporting a variety of critical launch and landing site and ground support systems. I was the Senior/Mentor for the technician team where we were responsible for installs and supports the infrastructure used for all types of telecommunications in support of our launch vehicles and spacecraft, including the layer 1 fiber and copper data network cabling infrastructure, operational voice (both wired and wireless systems), mission video, ground-side vehicle and payload interface RF systems, ground stations, telemetry and optical tracking systems, marine communications, readiness testing, and other systems at launch sites.• Installed, terminated, tested, troubleshot, and documented test results for fiber, network, audio, video, and RF cabling.• Installed cable pathway systems (cable trays, cable racks, J-hooks or D-rings) where needed.• Installed, terminated, tested, labeled, and documented horizontal, backbone and other cables across the sites and launch assets.• Lead the build out telecommunication and equipment rooms• Performed continuity checks, located and corrected wiring errors using measuring instruments when the other technicians made accidental mistakes. • Investigated, diagnosed, corrected, and documented instrumentation or system malfunctions and took broken instruments to the vendors our internal teams to repair.• Performed complex technical assignments involving communications systems, instrumentation and data acquisition/processing systems• Collaborated with team members to troubleshoot failures and issues derived from test data• Read and interpreted planning documents, schematics, wiring diagrams, specifications, drawings, manuals, blueprints, and engineering sketches for all projects or rebuilds.• Mentored and trained new and lower level technicians to enrich their career and ensure career advancement. • Worked with Lead to schedule and plan out work.

Was well versed in the installation, termination, testing and trouble shooting of copper and fiber optic cable for Patrick Air Force Base, and Cape Canaveral Air Force Station. Worked off and on as a contractor multiple times during the 6 years through Raytheon.• Lead the updating and maintaining of the computer database documentation with network information with items like: switch port #, patch panel #, LAN drop location and ID; Also updated building drawings using Microsoft Office Visio.• Completed all of the cable plant installation cycle from basic walk-through to customer acceptance. This included structured cabling design, testing requirements and documentation.• Performed site surveys with network engineers and provided constructive opinions on work options. All while maintaining a high quality of work standards at all times.• Interacted with all levels of management and other departments to accomplish assigned projects. Able to talk all levels of the project• Worked with serial 232, 530, 422, ATM/Sonet, MUXs, modems, video, and RF. Worked off and on as a contractor multiple times during the 8 years through General Dynamics. Strong experience with survey, design, installation, termination, testing and activation of all wireless equipment supporting the Second Generation Wireless Local Area Network (2GWLAN) program. • Extensive knowledge with network equipment included access points, intrusion detection system access modules, Power over Ethernet (PoE), media converters, Low Loss coaxial cabling, Category 6 Ethernet cabling, antennas, equipment enclosures, masts, lightening arrestors, and system grounding.• Was responsible for managing and leading multiple installation teams on many different assignments.• Responsible for inventory, maintenance, and oversight of company and Government Furnished equipment, tools, test equipment, and vehicles assigned to work crews.• Lead the installation of fiber optic cable, inner duct, infrastructure pathway, network cabinets, Synchronous Optical Network (SONET) high-speed digital transport equipment, rectifiers, and D/C power distribution to network equipment. • Ensured that all installations were completed in accordance with the applicable industry and project specific technical and quality standards (EIA/TIA, BICSI, NEC, and IEEE).• Responsible for managing and leading multiple installation teams while assigned to my project.

Was a technician with Morse where I did all of the installation and terminations of copper and fiber cable across many plants.Was promoted to a lead technician in 2000 and was responsible for training and supervising the day-to-day work production of several Telecommunication Technicians while at job site.
