CurrentI am responsible for the design, installs and support for the infrastructure of our launch vehicles and spacecraft, buildings, sites which includes the layer 1 fiber and copper data network cabling infrastructure, operational voice (wired and wireless), mission video, ground-side vehicle and payload interface RF systems, ground stations, telemetry and optical tracking systems, marine communications, readiness testing, and other systems involved in real-time communications and operations for Falcon, Dragon, and future starship! • I have developed conceptual designs and specifications based on SpaceX corporate and mission requirements preparing detailed design drawing and documents for all Launch Communications Projects.• Work with team leadership to prioritize and schedule work and tech teams to meet required timelines.• For each project and sustainment work I coordinate with other contractors and project teams as needed to ensure successfulness of the project/mission.• Interface with external vendors (private and government) to define interfaces at cross-connect facilities, and transition points across and between all our assets.• Go out in field and provide QA and auditing before and after infrastructure cabling plant work, ensuring the best result is provided.• Created metrics and procedure documents for leadership.• Managed the integrity of the documentation of all installations including assets, locations, connectivity, and maintenance of the patch record databases .• Created the installation standards and conducts on the job training sessions as needed.• Assisted when short staffed in the development of cable installation, termination, and testing best practices across SpaceX as well as quality assurance inspection criteria.• Informed and kept all personnel up to date on industry standards and new products.• Provided purchase order creation and financial controls for infrastructure related activities ensuring adherence to budget and timelines.
