Regional ManagerRinglink (Scotland) Ltd Jul 2007 - PresentI currently head the regional team of labour managers supplying a total management service to the agricultural sector. Business interests include commodities trading, labour and personnel supply and machinery rental within a member-owned co-operative.Duties and responsibilities:- My role comprises all aspects of team management and new business sourcing. Reporting to the Managing Director I am responsible for ensuring KPI/SLA’s are met to clients expectations, budget preparation, and forecasting, new business sourcing using innovative sales and marketing techniques to attract quality new customers, procurement and overall control of the smooth running of a sales/service office. Also, as part of my remit, I am involved in the GLA user group and have been instrumental in adapting the Supermarket Protocol by which all suppliers of food and agricultural products adhere to legal and ethical compliance with regards to the usage of gangmaster labour. Another smaller enterprise I have been involved heavily in has been the set up & management of an Internship scheme where we employ 15 young people, ages 15-24 & find them work placements within land based industry employers. This scheme is privately funded through businesses involved in agriculture & who are eager to ensure the next generation of agricultural workers are available when the need arises. They are sourced, interviewed, trained then placed on mentor businesses for a 6 month fully paid work period, which I monitor closely, before hopefully going on to full time employment either with their mentor or with another agricultural business. -
Operations Manager/ImplementationAptus Personnel Jan 2003 - Jul 2007I headed up the new business implementation team, responsible for national accounts and large on-site users of 50 or more temporary and permanent personnel throughout the UK. These included 2 multi-national catering and utilities management companies providing catering staff to army bases and supermarket café's, a security company, a logistics supply company and a large supermarket.Duties and responsibilities: - Identify potential leads for sales teams. Provide operational expertise to support sales managers in tendering and presentations for new business. Producing start-up budgets and ensuring these goals are met. Ensuring 1st year budgets and are strictly adhered to through weekly and monthly financial reports. Ensuring a smooth hand-over to dedicated on-site/national account management teams. -
