Building. I like to create things and to do that requires attention to every detail. The big picture is the sum of many brush strokes. I worked many years painting, insulating, roofing, siding, framing, installing flooring, tile and drywall. By doing these tasks, I am able to use this knowledge everyday managing people to build beautiful homes in a fast paced environment while maintaining the highest safety and quality standards possible under tight schedules. Learning. I took advice from some of the leaders and developers I worked for and focus on building trust in my team and the trades I manage with integrity. I keep high standards and expect the best from both them and me. Keeping on schedule and budget is important but so is integrity; being teachable and willing to listen while directing the project is what ultimately makes it successful and worthwhile.Winning. A job well done is never the measurable and unmeasurable results of one person-it takes a team. The Maestro may get most of the credit but the orchestra gets it done.
