Randomness, with the very real prospect of finding something fascinating amongst it all. Not edited for a market or to cater for those with goldfish attention spans. Sort of anti-demographic, but with the broad demographic of ‘people who are interested in stuff in general, right across every genre’.

Burning Shed is a small record label and distributor. As a freelancer, I worked on their bulk release mail outs, then, for a year, I administered all their day to day product dispatches.

Exhibition building at Kettle’s Yard, Cambridge. Part of a regular team who set up and hung a variety of touring exhibitions over an 18 month period. These include exhibitions of work by Antony Gormley, Claes Oldenburg, Winifred Nicholson and many others.

At the time I worked at DC the assembly and component soldering of every product was done by hand. I did everything from taping the tracks on large acetate sheets for circuit board printing, to hand cutting, stripping, tinning and twisting wires.One summer I assembled an order for a particular product range, soldering all the components, fixing the I/O in the chassis, then connecting the I/O to the boards by soldering the wires I’d prepared. The whole experience was a great insight into the electronics industry.I also produced some illustrations for a series of their adverts and wired up duplication systems on location.
