As a coach and transformation lead I coached and trained 10 teams in Agile / Scrum establishing defined scrum teams with known velocity. I coached sprint planning, story point estimation, story mapping and backlog grooming. The results of this effort were teams had a consistent backlog and delivered their velocity consistently.I also coached and trained product management leadership on release planning and backlog grooming that resulted in product management has a defined backlog between 2-5 sprints where the near-term work is well defined, and the rest of the work is high level goals and acceptance criteria.

Agile PMO :When I joined Magento in 2013 engineering had a reputation of not being able to deliver products to the business with predictable scope and cadence. The Agile PMO working with Product Management, Engineering and Executive Leadership defined process and established the “health of the backlog “ and other KPI's aligning all parties on the scope, prioritization, and effort of a 3-6 month road-map forecast. The results of this collaboration lead to clear visibility into the progress of the road-map and 12 releases delivered on time with 90% scope.Central Quality:Central Quality had little visibility into the functional coverage of their test suites and the set up and execution of the tests took too long and was error prone. I drove the implantation of a test case repository, test case automation and test environment automation. The result of that effort was test case visibility increased from 0 to 100%, automated tests went from 300 to 3100, set up of test environments reduced from 2 days to less than an hour and the automated test execution was reduce from 22 hours to 30 minutes Technical DocumentationMagento’s technical documentation had a low Net Prompter Score and I was asked to define and implement a strategy that would significantly increase the Net Promoter Score. Working with the technical writing team and product management we created a backlog of work that needed to be completed for the first release of Magento 2. Utilizing Agile estimating it became clear that the team did not have capacity to deliver the work. We increased the number of technical writers and embedded them in the scrum teams. The extra capacity and the efficiency gained by embedding writers on the team enable the delivery of 80% of the original backlog and aligned the documentation deliverable's with the definition of done for the scrum teams. The Net Promoter Score will be published fall 2016.

Provided direction to the Information Technology organization for managing and maintaining systems for internal operations.

Directed a forty person organization consisting of four separate quality assurance teams and an outsourced partner.

Directed a sixty-five person organization consisting of a 3 tier technical support center, a hardware services help desk, and customer care organization (pre-sales), establishing consistent service delivery and increased customer satisfaction.

Managed a seventy-five person organization with four separate groups responsible for compatibility, regulatory, environmental and network testing of SCI and non-SCI designed personal computer systems. Successfully tested and released 4 separate computer designs.
