My team and I managed the natural gas requirements for Calpine's 11 power plants in the West Region while I also traded a substantial speculative book which included NYMEX/Basis Swaps and Physical Gas. I also acquired various FT and IT Pipeline Transportation for the West Region. In 2014 I moved Regions to head up the Central Region. As Director of the Central Region, my team of traders, schedulers, and I are responsible for the facilitation of gas supply to the 13 power plants throughout Texas. Additionally, I am currently managing a trading book which includes NYMEX/Basis Swaps, Physical Gas, while also acquiring various FT and IT Pipeline Transportation for the Central Region. I am also responsible for verifying and pushing all forward curves daily. In 2016 all Central Region natural gas origination activities were transferred to my leadership. This origination activity is critical to Calpine due to the large amount of natural gas consumed on the Texas Intra-state Pipelines.
