I work as a support worker on a 1 to 1 basis with a gentleman who has mental health difficulties and minor learning difficulties. I did 12 hour days helping him with everyday tasks and prompting him to be as independent as possible, encouraging him to try new activities and do meaningful activities. I worked with him in his own home and in and around the community. The job includes cooking, cleaning, personal care, administering medications, 1 to 1 care, communicating with the service user and helping him do the things he likes, helping him to appointments and in the community, and report writing. Communication has been key and getting to know the service user and having built a very good bond with them it been a very positive job experience.

I worked as a support working in a residential home for young adults and adults who have autism and learning difficulties. We support them in their everyday day activities and routines including hobbies, personal care, education, everyday life skills and much more. We help the individual get the best out of every day and encourage and motivate residents to try new activities and help make each day meaningful. Each individual is very different so I have used my people skills to adapt to each resident's as I see fits them best, adapt to how they like to be communicated with, how much help they need and how I act with them. I really like working in this line of work because I am able to use my people skills and it allows me to help others who need that extra help. Included in this job are report writing, record keeping and a wide range of different types of communication.

The role of a conveyancing manager is to manage a client's sale, purchase, remortgage ect from start to finish. Dealing with gathering legal documents, ordering searches on the property, day to day communication with clients, solicitors and mortgage companies, removing charges, restrictions and notices from properties for clients and much more. In a conveyancing manager role, you are dealing with 40 to 60 clients at a time. Whilst in this job I have improved my time management, communication, organisation skills. This job keeps you on your toes and I have had to be very organised and visual to make sure that everything is done correctly and on time.

Working in a team and also working on projects on my own. I learnt to find and sell to clients of my own back and target sales to different types of customers and trades.

Offering high level of customer service to all that came into the pub if that be at the bar, or serving them food. As well as organising orders coming down from the kitchen to be taking out to customers and keeping the pub and bar to a high level of cleanliness at all time. I worked at the East Cheshire council in a small business called Leisure and Play Development team working with them in marketing and sales to help them promote their business and to further my understanding on how a business need to market themselves to be seen. Also in the time I spent with them I had some experience in events planning as Me and a friend planned and set up a summer sports event for the children that attended the sports lessons the company provided.
