Over five years, I had the privilege of working both in the golf industry and the hotel/hospitality industry. I invested three years in Salishan’s golf operations serving golfers as an Outside Services Associate. The other two years I served as a Front Desk Associate at the hotel where I coordinated all aspects of the guest’s lodging needs. I assisted Salishan in the acquiring and maintaining of its AAA Four Diamond resort rating during 2012, 2013, and 2014.

As the Director of Golf, I oversaw all aspects of the Corban University Men’s and Women’s Golf Programs.Coaching & Team Development: I led and supported 13 male golfers, 9 female golfers and 5 assistant coaches. I planned and ran team practices & workouts. I emphasized the mental game, course management skills, assisted with technical development, and provided on-course support during competition. I built and maintained quality relationships with golfers, parents, and alumni.Administration & Recruiting: I managed all administrative aspects of the golf programs. I scheduled tournaments & made travel arrangements, executed tournament travel, managed NAIA & institutional compliance, managed team budget, conducted fundraising campaigns, built & maintain donor relationships, ordered uniforms & equipment, and managed gear inventory. I oversaw all facets of recruiting high-caliber student-athletes including identification, communications, scouting, and awarding scholarships. I coordinated and hosted two collegiate tournaments and two fundraiser tournaments each year of my tenure.Strategy: I am a planner. I was strategic about casting the vision for the golf programs. I set team goals and worked with our student-athletes to establish individual goals. I have high expectations and aim to create a culture of trust, hard work, fun, competition, and success.

Working at a 9-hole public golf course for six years has given me valuable experience in customer service and an inside look at how a small business operates. I worked alongside the owner/PGA Professional and contributed to the success of the golf course by serving customers, scheduling tee times, taking payments, selling merchandise and maintaining the grounds.
