Recruited by Venture Capital firm as an integral element of the management team to develop and integrate commercial opportunities in a newly acquired material science company based on patented technology from the California Institute of Technology. Built business into a prominent position in the commercialization of a new class of metals for golf manufacturing, defense applications, and other commercial business ventures, spinning off three new companies. Achieved sales growth of over 50-100% per year for the parent, and sales growth from zero to $9 million for the Liquidmetal Golf subsidiary in less than one year. Responsible for the establishment of a European (UK) and Japanese Subsidiary, and established markets

Member of founding team of this new business start-up based on the commercialization of General Dynamics/ Convair Div. wind tunnel assets. Responsible for Business Development and Marketing activities in the establishment of the Aerospace Technologies Group, building domestic and international business relationships. During 2 year tenure, sales grew from a zero base and exceeded 100% growth both years.

Responsible for customer liaison, requirements and proposal development, bid/no bid decisions, and sales boards for many advanced programs at Convair, including hypersonic missile and related theater defense programs, and multiple Advanced Cruise Missile (ACM) production and engineering change proposals. Development of new ACM derivative missile concepts with various customer organizations. Worked with Corporate Washington office staff and congressional staff on defense budgeting and policy issues.

Cruise Missile (ACM) direct liason between Division Program Management and Air Force Program Management, leading to the successful resumption of the flight test program, and subsequent production contracts on this $2B weapon system. Developed additional responsibilities including direct liaison for multiple Corporate Divisions on a variety of advanced programs.

Responsible for pioneering software development for fluid dynamics in the Propulsion & Thermophysics Department, solving many technical challenges in the development of both subsonic and hypersonic missile systems, including the Tomahawk and Advanced Cruise Missile systems.
