I am lucky enough to lead the Explosives Operations Division for the State of Rhode Island as well as being a member of a highly specialized FBI unit. I am a Tactical Bomb Technician and Criminal Investigator with specialized certification and duties as a Tactical Explosive Breacher, Underwater Explosives Recovery Specialist, and formerly an Explosive Detection K-9 Handler. I'm proud to work and learn from local, State, and Federal partners on a daily basis. My wide ranging experiences range from responding to New York City on 9/11 as part of a FEMA Urban Search and Rescue Task Force, the Boston Marathon bombing, Presidential and other dignitary protection, as well as grant writing and fiscal management. I've been extraordinarily lucky throughout my career to have been assigned to work with the best professionals in the world on a regular basis. I am happily surrounded by motivated and tenacious Bomb Technicians in the Division that create a successful team and am proud to have earned the trust of a command staff that allows me to run the unit as I feel it should be. Although I love my job, I'm always open to hear about opportunities in the private sector.
