Industry disrupting change role, managing multiple projects and leading teams.Some highlights:Tom facilitated Barclays' response to the HMT government consultation on cheque imaging, advocating the change to the Bills of Exchange Act 1882.Facilitation of diverse groups of stakeholders internationally, C-suite to customer, both internal and external to Barclays Bank. Tom's activities included interviewing the COO of Barclays US about the world's first ever cheque imaging implementation, and attending UK customer focus groups. Tom facilitated the deliverables of 1) the consultation paper to change the law 'Bills of Exchange Act'. (Barclays HMT Cheque).2) Barclays web page, advocating the change to the Bills of Exchange Act 1882Other achievements• Production of the AS IS processes for cheques, working with 2 other analysts to produce the 250+ page document. Use of Visio & Word to produce process maps and operating model diagrams• Project manager/ Workstream lead for paperless initiatives, a set of 10 projects each driving the move to digital solutions across multiple platforms and business areas (Operations, 3rd party supplier and Customer)• Cheque transformation project: led the coordination of Barclays’ response to HMT consultation on cheque imaging, coordinated stakeholder responses, conducted customer insight research, liaised with colleagues from COO level and below• Facilitated delivery of web page to promote publicly the banks intention to change

Achievements:• Led the business analysis for legal documentation of the transformation of Barclays overdraft proposition. Defining business rules, writing functional specifications for legally binding customer multi-channel correspondence• Mailing design document: shaped and agreed end-to-end mailing process, across Credit Risk, Marketing, IT, Product, 3rd party operations and UAT teams, defining roles, responsibilities and time scales. Working alongside communications and training manager on updating systems and business processes • Led business requirements work on Consumer Credit Directive (Phase 2) Project and mapped parked requirements into in-flight projects (gap analysis to ensure coverage and compliance to EU CCD regulations). • Reconciliations enhancement project: replacing unsupported, shadow IT reconciliations solutions, with new systems to give enhanced functionality. Gathering requirements, writing operational designs and writing use cases. Mapping ‘as is’ and ‘to be’ processes, contributing to request for proposal (RFP) process, reviewing requirements against several 3rd party vendor solutions. Presented operational designs to audiences of 20+ on supplier site. Also drafted the UAT approach documents and wrote test scenarios and scripts which were traceable back to business requirements• Features Store Project: Designed and documented the online banking Speed-to-Market process for Barclays current account online platform. Created process maps and operating model, worked with business and IT stakeholders to shape and streamline the business demand process for new releases.• Restructure Project: Capacity planning for the restructure and consolidation of processing centres.
