My extensive journey in the arcade industry began in 1989 when I took on a part-time role as an attendant at Aladdin's Castle in Topeka, KS. Within just six months, I was promoted to the position of manager for that location. During my five-year tenure there, I embarked on an on-the-job training journey, honing my skills in troubleshooting and repairing arcade games and pinball machines.Following Namco's acquisition of Aladdin's Castle, I continued my journey with them at the same location until the decision was made to close down the mall arcade. In 1995, I made a move to the town of Leavenworth, where I took charge of managing the arcade within the mall. After some time, I expanded my role to include managing a route that spanned three locations within The Great Mall of the Great Plains and two other movie theaters.Subsequently, I transitioned with Namco to assume the role of General Manager at a new location within the Ameristar Casino, where I stayed until an opportunity closer to home presented itself.On May 5, 2005, I made the transition to Cleveland Coin Machine Exchange, and I've remained with Family Entertainment Group ever since they acquired CCME. This has been an incredible experience, affording me the chance to undertake a wide range of tasks beyond the typical duties of a General Manager. I've been involved in construction projects, participated in the revamping of redemption counters and other various projects within family fun centers. I have crafted new wooden cabinet components, and carried out mig-welding to repair other metal parts. Moreover, I've had the privilege of traveling across the country to support other locations and transport equipment to various destinations.I can unequivocally affirm that my 30-plus years in this industry have been an endless adventure of fun and games!
