Making transport simulation accessible to enable decision making around fleet and infrastructure assets.· Worked with the company founders, software engineering, project leads and business development teams to develop ML/AI-powered B2B fleet & transport simulator SaaS products to model future mobility systems & technologies, and to reduce time and costs relating to building and validating models.· Worked as the product owner managing the backlog for 3 teams operating Scrum, ranking and prioritising stories to deliver projects as well as the platform’s beta release.· Provided subject matter expertise in transport simulation and systems modelling to help translate and document the business requirements as user stories and mock-ups, ensuring the development team had sufficient context to devise an appropriate solution. · Worked as a systems engineer investigating the complex interactions between railway subsystems through simulation using London Underground’s in-house Railway Engineering Simulator (RES).· Was the Power Modelling team lead, providing technical direction and quality assurance for modelling undertaken to inform future railway enhancements.· Worked with sponsors and project engineers to determine correct power sizing for proposed changes to the railway, ensuring alignment to the mayor’s strategic objectives for energy efficiency and carbon reduction.· Project managed the delivery of concurrent modelling workstreams, running over 6-18 months, balancing resources across concurrent projects. Developed project scopes, plans and agreed budgets with sponsors and project leads; reported progress & spend.· Undertook an agile delivery approach within large waterfall-driven infrastructure projects to enable meaningful stakeholder engagement and promote interactive and iterative decision making.· Process improvement using UNIX command line and python scripting (pre- and post- processing of simulation data).

· Developed Victoria line distance-to-go (DTG-R) signalling upgrade simulation to support validation that Bombardier had met the signalling performance specified in the contract. Developed the simulation from scale plans, signal control tables and the Automatic train operation (ATO) specification and verified the model against train performance measurements.· Modelled proposed future line upgrade states to assess the impact of planned changes on service capacity and performance. Projects included analysis of signalling and rolling stock proposals for Piccadilly and Central lines.· Secondment to support engineering leadership to set up Transport for London’s (TfL) Innovation network to manage innovation ideas from internal stakeholders, commercial and academic organisations, and the public. Worked to establish subject matter expert network across the business. Managed external supplier to develop internal portal functionality. Collaborated with TfL’s IT and Legal teams to develop the public-facing webpages.

· Undertook modelling and simulation for assessing passenger benefits associated with timetable changes and line upgrades for inclusion into business cases.· Familiar with TfL’s Business Case Framework and government’s guidance on transport modelling and appraisal (WebTAG, The Green Book).

· Tutor for Physics, Mathematics and Economics to A-Level. Coaching for 11+ and university admissions tests.· Government and private clients obtained through agencies and by referral.· Started role to help fund my second degree but took great pleasure in seeing my students succeed.

· Industrial project to improve semiconductor laser production yields by developing better quality controls during plasma cleaning: Investigated testing based on surface-wetting characteristics, which vary with cleanliness. Developed processes and standards to monitor cleaning.· Product and material analysis/testing using a variety of chemical and physical techniques including x-ray, infra-red and mass spectrometry.
