Tom Hogan is a theatre director with a passion for creating social engaged performance that is varied in scale, style and staging. He particularly enjoys developing new work collaborating with performers, writers, designers and other arts practitioners.His work has been created for theatre and non-theatre spaces alike. Through the work of Aqueous Humour specialised in performance for public spaces. He has extensive experience working with actors of all experiences from beginner to professional. Through his work with Proud and Loud Arts has developed and in-depth understanding of enabling actors living with disability labels.Tom likes his work to create an interaction between the audience and the performer which challenges the audience to be more than a passive observer while respecting that they have come to see a performance and not be the show.A little bit of historyIn 2014/15 Tom was Director Mentor for the North of England with The Royal Shakespeare Company’s, Open Stages Programme.
