Fire Chief for a Special Fire Control District serving a community of over 30,000 people in a 33 square mile area of northeastern Pinellas County. The East Lake Tarpon Fire District was named Florida's 2019 District of the Year by the Florida Association of Special Districts, and received their Safety award in 2020. East Lake F.D. provides fire suppression, Advanced Life Support EMS, Fire prevention and education to the citizens and businesses in our coverage area. The District also provides automatic aid to surrounding cities, districts and counties. Report to a board of 5 elected officials (fire commissioners). Create and manage an annual budget of over $7.9 million. Responsible for 42 personnel staffing 3 fire stations.

Initially promoted to Division Chief of EMS responsible for state and county compliance, quality control and training of all EMS personnel. Downsizing of fire administrative staff led to the assumption of responsibilities for operations, training and safety. Obtained state certifications Fire Instructor III, Fire Inspector I, Live Fire Training Instructor, and Safety Officer.

Company Officer in charge of an ALS engine company of 3 firefighters on an Advanced Life Support (paramedic) staffed Class A pumper. Worked 24 hour shifts on a 24 on 48 off rotation.
