Tom was an associate producer of the feature film "The Challenger Disaster" -- starring Eric Hanson, Les Miles,, and Dean Cain. Tom is currently writing and producing another feature film.

Tom started acting in the 7th grade in south Texas, and continued in high school in Upstate New York. In 1974, Tom was simultaneously an actor, dancer*, and stage manager of a high school production of "Fiddler on the Roof". (*Thanks to costume and makeup changes, Tom was both a Cossack dancer in the pub scene and a Jewish bottle dancer in the wedding scene!) During and after his Air Force career, Tom participated in community theater. In 2005, having settled in the Nashville area, Tom was a dancer, choreographer, and assistant director of a community theater production of "Fiddler on the Roof". (Yes, even at age 47, Tom was able to not only still do Cossack dancing, but also to teach men half his age to do likewise!) Beginning in 2009, Tom focused exclusively on paid screen acting. In a supporting role as the CIA director for an indie TV pilot project named "Espionage", Tom simultaneously also served as the military technical advisor and the fight scene coordinator.

Tom Kovach (rhymes with "watch") is a former US Air Force law enforcement supervisor, who served in several special assignments that went beyond routine SP duties. Tom is also a former Civil Air Patrol search-and-rescue Ranger instructor and commander, a former deputy sheriff, and a former paralegal. He has even worked as a wrangler on two trail-riding ranches and as a deckhand on a river showboat. Tom's unique background provides a broad foundation for authenticity in your project's story, script, and screen presence. The best time to hire Tom is early in your project, so that he can review the script well before production starts.

Tom has written news reports, opinion columns, investigative columns, celebrity interviews, and two non-fiction books. He has also written screenplays and WGA-registered movie treatments. Tom is currently up to 325 pages of a novel, and is writing the script for an upcoming movie.

Tom is the inventor of the Kovach Klip military pistol-belt extender. The device enables troops to quickly don protective gear during an alert, without the need to re-adjust their other gear. The Kovach Klip also has other uses, such as quickly storing / deploying rappelling ropes during operations.

Supervised military law enforcement and security activities at small- and medium-size Air Force bases. Served as desk sergeant, patrol supervisor, and assistant flight chief. (In civilian police terms, a flight chief is a watch commander.) In addition to duties that parallel civilian law enforcement (e.g.: traffic patrol, incident response, investigation), also performed military-specific duties such as close-in nuclear security and Air Base Ground Defense (the Air Force's infantry). Served two years as a Resources Protection NCO (equivalent to a corporate security manager), writing operational plans and conducting compliance inspections for the protection of high-value resources.Also served in various special assignments (e.g.: dignitary protection, hostage response, witness protection, off-base counter-intelligence) with special agents of the Air Force Office of Special Investigations. Served on a protection detail for President Ronald Reagan. Designed the physical security for a high-tech facility. Also worked with other Federal and State agencies (FBI, Secret Service, Customs, NY State Police, etc.)
