Zaha Hadid CBI Tower - 170m height Tower. Rising from the sloping banks of the Tigris River in Baghdad, the design for the new headquarters of the Central Bank of Iraq (CBI).Was asked by my former firm to help top off this prestigious Tower on a 5+ month contract.

Nairobi, Kenya

Construction work had commenced on Africa’s tallest building in Africa. The 325/200 m, Twin concrete tower, mixed-use development named the Pinnacle Towers is located in Nairobi’s Upperhill area and will cost $340M USD.It was to encompass a 200 m, 45-story Hilton hotel that is being developed by Hass Petroleum and White Lotus Group and at 900 feet; the taller tower will have the highest viewing deck in Africa.This adjacent 325 m, 70-story residential tower will also be run by Hilton Hotel that will include one bedroom, two bedrooms, and three bedroom fully furnished luxury apartments.Meinhardt Group is the EOR, while China State Construction Engineering Corporation is the Contractor.However, this mega development which was projected to be complete by December 2022, although the 255-room hotel may be completed earlier, now we see that the project stalled late 2018, after contractor, China 🇨🇳 State terminated from the project. Talks continued, but to no avail as three stakeholders didn’t have funds necessary and I departed my company provided housing mid 2019

Seattle (Lynnwood), Wa

Currently working on the Factory Transformation of the original factory (largest building in the world by volume), including new foundations for a 20+ robotic wing machining cells (LRIP and FRP foundations) requiring very stringent design criteria, assessment and recommendation for repair of transportation routes throughout factory for magnetic guided AGV Tools, and modification and re-purposing of existing roof suspended bridge cranes.Ongoing work on the new Boeing 40-58 building. Will be used to construct the carbon fiber wings for the new Boeing 777-X plane. Building footprint is the size of 24 football fields, with two separate high bays that use 460' and 430' clear span trusses, separated by a 75' wide 5 story tower. Also included design of (8) - 30' x 176' foundations and (2'-5' thick x 15' to 17' tall) plinth walls for Spar Lam Tools, and (6) - 60' X 176' Skin Lam Tools.Cut and paste the below link, to view a short promotional video of these Tools in action,https://www.facebook.com/tom.lee.75491/posts/10155152869393261Recently completed work on the Boeing 40-27 building, where the Boeing 777-X fuselage will be constructed. Consists of a single 380 long span high bay, with 50' wide, 5 story towers along each side.

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Assistant Site Team Leader on the King Abdullah Financial District in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, a $10 billion+ project, consisting of 34 towers in an area of 1.6 million square meters, providing more than 3 million square meters of space for various uses, 62,000 parking spaces and accommodation for 12,000 residents. A monorail also runs throughout the project. Duties include leading a team of Site Engineers on daily observations of construction activities, generating daily and weekly reports. Also involve in creation of Design Standards for the Client as well as performing Value Engineering on Clients next project in Jeddah, resulting in substantial savings.

Contract Engineering duties on a variety of commercial\industrial projects. Includes new construction as well as seismic risk assessments of existing structures per NEHRP\FEMA guidelines.

Responsibilities included design and design direction, spec. writing, cost estimating, equipment coordination between vendor and client, and all construction services, including the design and implementation of the first use of 120 ft long driven grout piles.
