Directed growth of the Vanderbilt Center for Better Health (VCBH) from a second year start-up into a nationally recognized organization with the mission to Accelerate Change in Healthcare through the use of collaborative design methods. In 2013, VCBH transitioned to focusing entirely on executing strategic Vanderbilt initiatives. Prior to 2013, fifty percent of funding came from services delivered to state and federal government, public organizations, and private corporations. During this time, VCBH completed hundreds of consulting engagements touching all aspects of healthcare.

Example work: 1.) facilitator for a project that included two three-day design events to deliver the entire future state system architecture and gap analysis for a $4B international baked-goods manufacturer, 2.) facilitator and consultant for a six-week process re-engineering engagement of a FORTUNE 100 telecommunication infrastructure manufacturer’s contracting process, and 3.) member of facilitation team responsible for a ten-week engagement to achieve a current state, future state, and gap analysis for a leading consumer brand’s financial, customer service, and merchandising processes.

From 1994 to 1996, my work supported AEDC's Office of Strategy & Transformation as a member of the Gossick Leadership Center team. My work included: 1.) supporting AEDC’s winning proposal for the Malcolm Baldridge Quality Award, 2.) initiating use of digital imaging to reduce documentation and rework costs, and 3.) completing a cost-benefit analysis for creating electronic documents verse paper documents for archival purposes.From 1989 to 1994 my work supported AEDC's Propulsion Wind Tunnel Facility. This work managed the United States Air Force’s research and development efforts as an engineer testing models within the 4T, 16T, and 16S wind tunnels. In this role my work had direct responsibility for test budget, schedule, and data quality.
