Habitat for Humanity of Central Iowa is a fiscally sound, non-profit organization made up of Individuals and groups from area faith communities, businesses and service groups that donate their time, talent and treasure to help build for God’s people in need. HFHCI has completed and sold over 65 homes and will continue to increase production by building and remodeling houses in Hamilton, Hardin and Story county this year.

The Development Director works to plan and execute resource development strategies and monitor progress toward goals. The Development Director supports the Chief Executive Officer in positioning the board to cultivate and solicit major gifts and grants from individuals, corporations, foundations, United Way, government agencies and others and is responsible for providing leadership and direction to staff, as needed, in their role of supporting the resource development and marketing efforts

OUR MISSION:The AMERICAN HEALING ARTS FOUNDATION, INC., is organized exclusively to promote the use and application of art as therapy for the benefit of the Public, and particularly to provide a health and spiritual benefit to US Veterans and other First Responders who offer service to their country and community; to promote research, educate the Public, and to encourage and enable generally the use of art as a creative and restorative tool for full re-entry into the community. OUR VISION: Advancing wellness through the arts, with a focus on programs for military servicemen and women who have served on various front for our country. WE BELIEVE: Every man and woman that has ever served our country is eligible for the art classes. Wounded warriors and their families have an added financial burden which is why we offer no cost art classes. Art therapy classes offer veterans the ability to interact with world-renowned art instructors, witness their own creative side and exercise the power of rehabilitation. Classes are intended to reunite veterans with their peers, away from hospitals and the battlefield, in a peaceful environment. Every veteran is given the opportunity to discover their talents and achieve an art career.
