Director of Facilities Manager

• Reporting to the Metro President since I have been responsible for the maintenance of Academic, Administrative and Residential facilities in the center of campus. The total gross square feet of these facilities is over 500 thousand.• Manage the operations of the Materials Handling division. Responsibilities of this division include furniture moving, event support and waste management.• Oversee the Facilities Management operating annual budget of over 2.5 million dollars.• Oversee the Waste Management expenses and manage the physical placement of containers throughout the campus. Assure that all municipal and private contracts are performed to the expectations of the university.• Manage the Residential Furniture inventory for the entire campus. Have managed the installation of over 160 sets of dorm room furniture. Oversee the refurbishment of lounge furniture and the repair of all other residential furniture on campus.• Manage the planning and scheduling of the Maintenance program within Physical Plant. Communicate the schedule to Physical Plant trades and custodial operations and track the progress to assure successful completion.• Manage the custodial operations for all University site facilities. Conduct facility inspections, provide daily direction, direct the management of our contracted service provider in contract clarification and purchase all materials for the in-house facilities as well as paper for the entire campus.• Manage a variety of projects in support of the university. • Develop and submit Deferred Maintenance and Capital Projects. Build scopes, budgets and manage of the approved projects annually.

• Oversees cleaning of building and assures grounds are well maintained.• Basic skills in carpentry, plumbing, and painting to make minor repairs. • License and Certified Boiler Operator. • Project manager High school construction build out.• Assisted in the organization to the Committee Membership of the CORE Planning Team for the Shakopee School District.• Union Steward Representative.
