Having achieved MAs at Cambridge (English) and Northumbria (Film), I worked in an FE College for 12 years teaching A Levels such as English Language, English Literature and Communication and Culture. I acted as High Starters coordinator helping students with Russell Group applications. In October 2018, after researching television drama history and the Cold War independently for many years, I commenced a funded, full-time 3-year PhD on the BBC1's drama series "Play for Today" (1970-84).
