Strategic oversight and day-to-day management of a diverse Learning and Participation Programme delivering accessible music education and professional development projects in formal and informal education settings, and advocating fundamental change in UK policy and practice to increase inclusion in music-making. Key responsibilities include:• Management of programme budget, including multiple funding grants from a range of trusts, foundations, institutional and public sector donors. Responsible for funder liaison, contract management/compliance and reporting• Maintaining key strategic relationships with a diverse range of partners in the cultural, education and disability rights sectors within England, including Local Authorities, Music Education Hubs, Arts Organisations, Orchestras and Civil Society Organisations• Advocating for national policy change to achieve greater inclusion of Disabled children and young people within music education • Line-managing a team of three payroll staff, freelance project managers, trainers and music leaders as required.

Providing capacity building and support that enables partner organisations in selected low and middle income countries (LIMCs) to deliver effective advocacy campaigns to achieve specific changes in public health legislation, policy and practice in a range of LIMCs including Kenya, Cambodia, India, Thailand, Mexico, among others. • Mange to grant-making to CSOs and participating in grant review committees.• Providing in-country support to CSO coalitions in LIMCs through delivery of advocacy training and workshops on strategy development, action planning, political mapping and communications strategy. Providing additional assistance remotely through mentoring, guidance and advice on an ad hoc basis• Drafting materials including research briefings, strategy and planning documents, campaign communication materials, advocacy letters, quotes, press releases and social media and online content for use in national campaigning in LIMCS and global advocacy by CI. I also contribute to the development of core training materials, including toolkits and advice guides to support CSOs.• Commissioning consultants/external agencies to provide support on communications (design of campaign materials, social media assets, videos production) as well as legal analysis, research and public relations.• Contract management of funding grants ensuring compliance with all donor, legal and internal requirements. Budget monitoring and quarterly financial reporting to donor as well as contributing to narrative reports and funding proposal development

TACD is a network of 80 consumer and public interest organisations in the EU and US that advocates to ensure key consumer, civic and environmental protections on both side of the Atlantic are not undermined by the proposed the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP).• Contributed to development and implementation of advocacy strategy to influence the TTIP negotiations• Organised two 3-day conferences of 200 participants in Brussels and Washington DC, responsible for all aspects including agenda development, engaging high-level speakers from EU and US governments and all logistics. • Maintained key strategic relationships within EU and US governments, organise and attend lobby meetings with government and other stakeholders/advocacy targets.• Co-ordinated a Steering Committee and five Policy Committees, managed two policy advocacy consultants based in Brussels and supervised interns.• Co-ordinated the development and dissemination of consensus policy positions, briefings, press releases and all other communications materials. Managed the TACD website.• Managed three funding grants from the European Commission and Open Societies Foundations (value over EUR 200k). Responsible for all donor relationships, reporting and developing funding proposals.

• Managed CI’s role in multi-country coalition advocating for improved labour conditions in developing country supply chains of EU supermarkets. .• Commissioned and supervised research projects, including multi-country survey of supermarket labour policies and field-based case study investigation into working conditions on banana plantations in Costa Rica. Liaised with consumer organisations to package research results for publication in consumer magazines.• Management of funding grant (value EUR 210k) from European Commission (via lead consortium partner). Responsible for budget management and reporting to lead partner and donor.

• Managing Green Action Fund and Anne Fransen Fun grant-giving programmes for consumer organisations in development countries• Managing World Consumer Rights Day, a global day of action involving over 100 organisations.• Contributing to development and delivery of global campaign strategies on a broad range of consumer issues, including childhood obesity, abusive marketing of pharmaceuticals and the regulation of financial markets.• Developing training and other materials for CI members to build capacity in support of campaigning activities at national and international level. • Producing communication products to support CI and Member campaigns, including press releases, toolkits, campaign briefings and research reports, as well as content for CI’s website, e-newsletters and social media platforms.• Co-ordinating the Rhoda Karpatkin Internship Programme for consumer advocates in developing countries.
