Tom McKay is a retired strategy and business development executive with 28+ years experience in industry and consulting. McKay's expertise is developing strategies and building capabilities that accelerate and sustain profitable growth. He has extensive background in market entry, pricing, cost reduction, restructuring, M&A, and financial strategy. His track record includes designing and implementing strategic decision-making processes. McKay's industry experience spans financial services, retail, consumer products, and high technology. He is a pragmatic problem solver and effective change agent. Prior to retiring in April 2015, McKay was SVP - Global Client Incentives for Visa Inc., located in Foster City, CA. He led the global client incentives team, which oversees the global client incentives policy and process, establishes global methodologies for deal evaluation, owns key deal evaluation models used by each Visa region, supports Visa's regions in successfully negotiating client incentive agreements, and manages Visa's Global Client Incentives Review Committee. Before joining Visa, he was Vice President - Strategy and Business Development for Gap Inc. from 2002 to 2007. In this role, McKay led Gap Inc. teams through initiatives to drive profitable growth. He was responsible for strategy development, corporate development, and strategic planning process management. Prior to Gap Inc., he served as Senior Manager for Marakon Associates, a management consulting firm helping Fortune 500 corporations sustain superior shareholder returns. McKay received his MBA from the Harvard Graduate School of Business. He also has a BA in Management-Engineering from Claremont McKenna College and a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.
