As the Team Lead of the Damage Prevention group I ensure the safety of our critical infrastructure. Some of my main duties include: • Ensure the safety of our critical infrastructure by analyzing multiple mapping tools and working closely with our outside plant / facilities team• Interview, hire, manage, and train a team to assess excavation requests• Training, coaching, and daily monitoring of team members assisting with problems or questions • Developing documentation and processes to create an efficient workflow for our growing network• Reporting weekly metrics and progress reports • Monitoring and keeping up to date best practices and federal/local regulations for excavation• Reporting and investigating incidents, taking corrective action where necessary• Assisting in building and maintaining our inventory, reporting any errors or irregularities
