Mr Muga works as the Head of ICT for the Association for Strengthening Agricultural Research in East and Central Africa (ASARECA) based in Entebbe, Uganda. He oversees all the operations of the ICT department, ensuring effective delivery of appropriate ICT services, support and information to all users at the ASARECA Secretariat, ASARECA Projects, and partner institutions in East and Central Africa. He is currently leading a team of Program Managers in implementing the ASARECA Knowledge and Information Hub (KI-Hub). This project is intended to provide ASARECA Stakeholders within the East and Central Africa region with a one-stop-shop for information and knowledge on Agricultural Research for DevelopmentBefore joining ASARECA, Mr Muga worked for USAID East Africa as the Regional ICT Advisor where he managed ICT for Development Projects funded by USAID in Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, Ethiopia, Uganda, and Afghanistan.Mr Muga has over 15 years’ experience in implementing ICT for Development projects in Agriculture, Health, and Education Sectors.He holds an MSc in Information Systems from the University of Nairobi, Kenya
