I have been writing songs and performing them since 1968. Song-writing is an art as well as a craft and I am truly blessed and thankful that songs just come to me at any time, without even thinking about it. I believe that every song is a gift and I have no idea where they come from, but I write them down or record them as quickly as I can, before I forget them. To sing them for others is something I must do and I get great pleasure in performing them live or in the studio. Art and music is a something that I think is necessary in our lives and is ingrained in our culture and humanity. I am happy to be part of the music industry and I think that everyone in it, including technicians, managers, A&R people, engineers, producers, writers, reporters, and record executives, do it because they love it and believe in it. I respect everyone that works hard to produce a good show or recording. I also love to paint and I get a great feeling holding a brush and expressing myself with lines, shapes, textures and colours on a blank canvas. It is a joy to paint. Being an artist first and foremost is the best job in the world. I always give it my all.

To ensure the safe operation of trains, locomotives and rolling stock. Certified by Transport Canada with Canadian Rail Operating Rules. Examined and tested every three years. Certified in Industrial First Aid.

Worked monitor systems and front of house for side stages. Was a main stage set up and tear down guy for various professional musical acts. Got to work closely with musicians and audio technicians to ensure performers stage plots were set up to their specifications. Did complete set up and tear down of complete audio systems including power, amplification, outboard gear and lighting rigs. Oversaw that all equipment was safe and secure and in good working order at all times.

Worked for Union Pacific Railway under contract from Canadian National during a skilled labour shortage in California and Arizona. Provided training for new hires in the railroad industry. Learned a great deal about the industry during an overwhelming surge in the container, intermodal shipping business from the China/Pacific region. Union Pacific treated me very well during this time. I have great respect for their industy considering the huge traffic volume and time constraints for on time delivery. They have very good training facilities and have invested heavily in infrastructure upgrades.

Joined AMPIA to network with film and audio professionals to help organize some film projects. The main project was to document and film an expedition in China.

I was hired by this start up company as a communications officer. I worked with Brian Noble and Kevin Taft in Edmonton, Alberta. The objective was to organize a dinosaur expedition in Mongolia and film it. Working with Tom Radford of The National Film Board and Dr. Phil Currie of The Tyrell Museum was a pleasure. A "dinosaur dig" did happen but I had left the company by then to do some work in the railway industry. I leaned how to organize meetings with high profile CEO's and film companies. A great experience.

Replaced old step by step telephone switching systems and toll operations with digital Pulse Code Modulation Systems. Switched over the entire network from old analogue systems to complete digital networks for voice and data communications. Member of Canadian Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.

Operated trains on entire ONR system.
