Worked with UKTI with responsibility for leading a portfolio of globally diverse High Value Opportunities mainly based in the Energy sector. The aim of the programme was to help secure UK investment and content on major projects and programmes, each with a value in excess of £500m. My role involved making sure that each project team that is made up of UK and in-market business specialists, British Embassy / Consulate staff and UK Strategic Trade staff understood their roles and delivered on their commitments. I led on the identification, prioritisation and support for UK businesses and regular updated the required documentation including providing detailed reporting and briefing for senior management and UK Government Ministers. I was involved in developing and implementing project strategy for engagement, including stakeholder mapping, risk identification and management, project governance, market analysis and business-to-business relationship management.

A31 Canford Bottom Junction Improvement (c.£7.5m Jul ‘11 to Dec '12) Working with Area 3 MAC in the construction of a through-a-bout on the A31. This complex scheme involved major earthworks, drainage, service diversions and tarmac operations within a challenging public environment. To date it has been delivered with zero accidents and a projected margin of c. 8%.M25 Bookham Brook to Jct8 (c.£4.5m Oct ‘10 to Jul ‘11) Technology scheme on the M25 involving the installation of Controlled motorway equipment to overhead gantries. Scheme delivered with an excellent safety record and a margin in excess of 10%. M25 Jct 8 Safety Scheme / A405 Bricket Wood (c£1.0m Feb '10 to Apr '10)Installation of new signage, roadmarkings and anti-skid surfacing and associated works. Scheme delivered with zero accidents and achieved a margin of >10%.M4 Pier Protection (c.£2.5m Jan ‘10 to Oct ‘10) Installation of precast concrete units and associated works to protect the piers of Wood Lane Bridge near Jct 6. Scheme delivered with zero accidents and achieved a margin of >10%.M40 Safety Scheme (c.£1.0m Nov ‘09 to April ‘10) Installation of new road markings, intelligent road studs and signage between Jct 3 and 7. Scheme delivered with zero accidents and achieved a margin of >10%.

Key operational leadership role working on the London Tramlink Infrastructure Maintenance Contract (‘IMC’). This position involved leading a team responsible for the maintenance and enhancements works covering all infrastructure assets on the Tramlink. The role involved managing a team of 25 people through a period of considerable cultural change and I had personal responsibility for an operational turnover of £5m pa - delivering a margin of >10%.

Key role managing the integration of strategy, planning and delivery for Carillion on a day-to-day basis through the CEO Team Meeting’s, Group Performance Reviews and other committees. The role allowed me to build up a great strategic awareness and knowledge and exposure to the wide variety of sectors in which the group operates.

Heathrow

Led the design of the final two phases of c£50m airside project at Heathrow with responsibility for pavement, services and apron layout design. This led to the initial pavement, services and apron layout design of the c£100m Midfield Pier North Project.
