My career in the events industry began when I graduated university with First Class Honors in Sound, Light and Live Event Technology in 2007. Immediately after this, I began training as a Project Manager with dbn Lighting. During 4 years there, my responsibilities included not only project management, but also lighting design, programming and operation for a wide array shows. These included The Warehouse Project, along with WYSIWYG designer for the Opening Ceremony of the European Capital of Culture, Liverpool 2008 and Head of Lighting for the same show in Turku Finland 2011.In September 2011 I relocated to Dubai, working as a Project Manager for eclipse (since acquired and rebranded to Encore). Since moving to Dubai, I have headed up the technical elements of some of the largest & highest profile shows in the region. Over the years, my position developed from a Project Manager, to the Key Account Manager, and then to the appointment as Sales Director in 2017Now, as Regional Director, GSO Middle East, I am responsible for managing the sales team, enabling them to development relationships with accounts across multiple events sectors, whilst also managing the key agency accounts for the company.
