Placement year at Gallagher Began the year labouring and learning the basics of the construction industry, getting involved in deep drainage, ducting and other ground works.After a few months, I was then introduced to site engineering, learning how to use and care for all the equipment as well as being able to read complex steel drawings accurately.By Christmas I was confident in using a Leica TS15 total station for setting out and recording points, in addition to setting up rotating lasers and pipe lasers and was given my own areas of the site to manage.
