Involved in the design and management of low cost civil engineering works including roads, bridges and windfarms. Co-Author of forestry road design manual.

>Responsible for the Engineering function within Coillte Teo and ensuring adequate access for extraction of the annual timber harvest.>Responsible for construction of 150kms of a new unbound road and ancillary engineering works and the upgrade of 200kms of existing roads annually.>Care and maintenance of the existing 10,000kms road network, servicing the Coillte Estate.>Liaising with all statutory bodies (Local Authorities, Fisheries, NPWS. NGO's etc) on compliance with best practice environmental guidelines.>Negotiating,agreeing and establishment of funding between DOE and Coillte to ensure an annual programme of Public Road restoration - to minimise and eliminate damages caused by fully laden timber trucks.>Management of engineering staff to ensure that the 'just in time' road policy was implemented annually.>Attendance at Senior Management Board Meetings> Delivery of infrastructural projects on time and within budget, on a project by project basis of c. 1,000 projects per annum.PAPERSCo-Author of 'Forest Road Manual' - Widely used as principal technical manual in the construction of Forest Roads.
