Mr. Schaeffer has extensive experience in the structural design of all types of buildings. He has been in consulting structural engineering practice since 1981 and is a Fellow of the American Concrete Institute. He is a Principal and Vice President in the firm of Structural Design Group. His experience includes long span steel structures, loadbearing concrete masonry structures, and conventional, post-tensioned, and precast concrete structures. In addition, he serves on several technical committees of the American Concrete Institute, including the main committee of 318. Mr. Schaeffer is a member of the American Concrete Institute, American Institute of Steel Construction, American Society of Civil Engineers, Post-Tensioning Institute, Colegio De Ingenieros Y Agrimensores De Puerto Rico, National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying, National Society of Professional Engineers, and the Florida Engineering Society.Current registrations in Tennessee, Arkansas, Delaware, Florida, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, West Virginia, Wisconsin, District of Columbia, and Puerto RicoSpecialties: Experience includes convention facilities, hotels, parking garages, schools, healthcare facilities, and office buildings.
