This position required me to take on several roles well beyond a team lead, similar to a supervisor's responsibilities. It was my sole responsibility to determine welding processes and procedures off of the prototypes for all of the sub-weldments, main weldments, and build a team from the ground up for this company's startup location. Build and make their prototypes, troubleshooting and determining corrective measures that were within both welding standards and the company's requirements. Interview and give weld tests to potential candidates. Train, oversee issues, delegate tasks and determine corrective action to ensure completion per blueprints and company's requirements. Oversee consumables, tools and communicate with welding vendor. Use and maintain Fronius TransSteel Pulse wirefeeder, operate bandsaw, Propylene/Oxygen torch, hydraulic tube bender, plasma cutter, and various equipment and tools.
