At Centrex, serving clients in the aviation sector is our passion—and our mission is to make the construction process easy for them. Yes, you read that correctly—EASY.While construction projects are rarely associated with words like “easy,” we do things VERY differently. We created a process called Build+™ in which we manage an entire project from start to finish, overseeing the design and engineering, site acquisition, permitting, and construction. This unique approach has helped us grow significantly (more than 12x growth in a little over a decade) while expanding to serve 13 western states. Over the years, a lot has changed at Centrex, but our guiding principle is still the commitment to integrity established by my late father, who founded the business in 1974. An avid pilot who was dubbed “the flying cowboy,” his mantra of “do what we say we will do” became one of our seven core values that guide us today.He also taught my brother Jimmy and I the importance of hard work. School breaks were spent helping on Centrex projects, even if it meant digging trenches in the rain—and the site superintendent was instructed to treat us the same as any other worker.I’m incredibly proud that we’re able to carry on my father’s legacy while offering a customer experience that’s unheard of for anyone who’s had to build something. Nothing gives me more satisfaction than walking with a happy client through a finished project – like a beautiful new personal aircraft hangar and lounge space. We speak the language of aviation—our President (my brother, Jimmy) is a pilot, as is our newest business development team member. I’m a pilot in training, and we also have other student pilots on our team. When we come to see clients, we arrive in our company plane--often buying fuel from our clients while we’re there!
