About Tom Singleton Mciwem
Currently working as a river and coastal flood risk management Analyst at JBA Consulting. My experience covers a wide and varied range of projects and includes the development of hydraulic models from base survey data and undertaking modelling improvements and updates to existing models. Hydraulic modelling packages utilised include Flood Modeller, ESTRY, TUFLOW, and JFlow. In addition, I'm also experienced in GIS mapping and analysis using ArcGIS and QGIS.I am an experienced and competent project manager working with multi-disciplinary teams across complex projects particularly within the Modelling and Mapping Environment Agency Framework. I am also involved in a variety of Property Flood Resilience (PFR) Schemes as well as Flood Risk Assessments (FRA) and Surface Water Drainage Strategies.I have trained junior staff in the associated modelling packages and been a mentor to new graduates.In addition, for the past two years I have been apart of the Environment Management System team at JBA, recently helping the company retain their ISO 14001 accreditation.
