Labor Forecasting

Responsible for integration of Albertsons and Safeway business retail systems which include, but are not limited to, integration execution, conversion of stores and distribution centers to new technology, and ensuring delivery of merger synergy targets. Discover and assist the business and IT conversion of 965 stores across 30 states, and 7 distribution centers. Oversee all retail aspects of individual store systems change over: store teams, training team personnel, division retail operations, and communications with IT install and software opportunities.Develop communication and documentation processes using Microsoft tools (e.g., SharePoint, Access, Excel, etc.), training procedures, and efficiency tools for the IMO (Integration Management Office) store conversion teams.

Summary of basic responsibilities:• Labor Systems Management: Responsible for labor standards and management across 1300 stores• Labor Analysis: Aggressive in identifying and resolving inefficient operational processes, cost/benefit opportunities, and labor utilization structure• Department Management: Strong team builder, able to motivate team members to achieve operational goals while identifying and acting on new opportunities• Communications Skills: Clear oral and written communication skills that interface effectively with coworkers, senior management, and store personnel. Perform a wide variety of investigative and analytical studies pertaining primarily to the development and implementation of effective labor standards, schedules, and procedures for method improvements, cost reduction, and the maintenance of related records and reports.Execute time studies on department or individuals, direct or indirect labor operations to develop standard data and/or verify existing data.Provide ongoing analysis and support to division retail stores in the key areas of scheduling and labor control. Coordinate and deliver training for new labor planning programs and procedures, monitor labor performance against standards through use of labor reporting data and investigate deviations from standards as well as providing coaching to under-achieving managers to advance performance.Assist in developing short and long term labor budgets.Evaluate new programs, procedures, and equipment. Develop recommendation and/or implementation procedures.Manage vendors on additional income activities and expense areas; coordinate bidding and negotiation of contracts. Evaluate vendor performance against expected standards.

Provide leadership and direction across all aspects of merchandising and operations of Randalls’ stores; directly responsible for supervision of retail site employees.Implement and execute corporate sales and marketing programs, while maintaining all corporate policies and procedures.Manage hiring and training for new employees and ongoing development for existing personnel to accomplish sales, profitability, operational standards and customer service goals. Responsible for recordkeeping, salary, shrink and expense control, labor planning and scheduling, and inventory.
